Title : Translational Research Scientist - II
Pay Rate : $85 / HR on W2
Location : 213 E. Grand Avenue, South San Francisco, CA 94080
REQUIRED : Web / software background must have been utilized within the IHC field, not looking for web design industry experience. Can be academic or industry experience.
Should have :
- High level of comfort with histology / microanatomy strongly preferred
- Background in oncology and / or immunology
- Programming skills with application in imaging (e.g. Python, MATLAB) data.
- Should be comfortable with histology, anatomy and IHC assay experience.
PREFERRED : Automation experience and image analysis a plus.

Responsibilities :
The Anatomic Pathology group within the Profiling & Expression department is seeking a motivated, experienced scientist with experience in multiplexed immunofluorescence assay development and digital image analysis to support discovery and translational research in our pathology group in South San Francisco.
The Successful Candidate will :
o Gather and document feedback from users on image analysis workflows and tools.
o Address user pain points, define requirements, and improve tool functionality.
o Lead user experience testing, working with IT to implement improvements and optimize tools for production use
o Maintain and update image analysis computers to ensure they remain optimized for routine tasks
