Associate Cloud FinOps Engineer

The Associate Cloud FinOps Engineer is responsible for managing cloud cost efficiency, monitoring cloud expenditures, and implementing cost-saving initiatives across the cloud infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

• Daily, you will be analyzing cloud expenses, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing cost-reducing solutions.
• You’ll be creating accurate cost forecasts, managing budgets, and alerting about budget overruns.
• You will work with the cloud enablement team to implement cost optimization strategies.
• You will monitor cloud spend against budget and make recommendations for improvement.
• You’ll partner with finance and procurement teams to ensure accurate cloud billing.
• You’ll will continuously monitor the resource usage and generate reports reflecting costs and performance.
• You’ll be working closely with DevOps teams, Data Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective use of cloud resources.
• You will manage Cost Allocation by understanding how different parts of the organization are using cloud resources, like figuring out which departments are using the most cloud storage.
• You will organize Cost Governance by setting guidelines and processes to keep cloud costs under control, like creating budgets and alerts to avoid overspending.
  
  

What You’ll Need

• You have 1-2 years of experience of cloud pricing models (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• You have 1-2 years of experience with cloud cost management tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Cloudability, Azure Cost Management).
• You’re familiar with cloud automation and resource optimization techniques.
• You have analytical and problem-solving skills related to cloud usage and costs.
• Your proficient in Excel or other data analysis tools.
• You will need excellent presentation skills in order to communicate with management and stakeholders.
  
  

The starting pay range for this position is:

$84,100.00 - $111,900.00

Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
