Claims Litigation AttorneyAn exciting opportunity to join an in-house expanding legal team for a well-established and successful company offering a great culture, commitment to legendary service and competitive compensation package.This position acts as senior trial counsel to policyholders and the Exchange. This position specializes in defending complex, high exposure trials and arbitrations with exposure in excess of policy limits, objective injury cases, and high profile fraud cases. This includes the defense of policyholders in complex litigated homeowners, personal injury and property damage lawsuits. The position also provides legal representation for the Exchange to defend and / or protect its interest in uninsured motorist claims, underinsured motorist claims, and other legal actions. Position is remote.Responsibilities : Analyze cases to determine all pertinent facts and develop legal theories / strategies in the defense of lawsuitsIdentify potential exposure to policyholders or the ExchangeDevelop and implement appropriate discovery plan and motions, as neededPrepare for, attend, and defend all court proceedings related to cases, including trials and arbitrationsRegularly communicate with policyholders and claims representatives regarding case developmentsPrepare and present legal opinions on claims issuesParticipate in negotiation and settlement of cases with outside parties / entitiesProvide assistance in handling other attorneys’ files as neededPrepare and present training programs for attorneys and Claims staffQualifications : JD Required7-9 years Insurance defense law RequiredThorough understanding of insurance contracts required.Must have superb command of trial techniques and strategies, and have exceptional evaluation abilities.Must demonstrate leadership through effective supervision of lawyers and secretaries.Thorough knowledge of trial procedures and the rules of the evidence.Valid Driver's License, acceptable Department of Motor Vehicles record and minimum liability insurance - Issued by State RequiredThe starting pay range for this position is : $142,300.00 - $189,200.00Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.Remarkable benefits :
