Automotive Services Specialist
This positionmanages an assigned territory across all states to identify,develop and maintain strategic relationships with automotive repairbusiness partners for the Approved Auto Repair (AAR) program. Theposition examines Club approved facilities for compliance with ClubStandards and Criteria, contractual obligations and expectations.In addition, the position processes the necessary documents relatedto inspection of said facilities in compliance with all applicableClub policies and procedures. This position demonstrates leadershipin coordinating with owners, managers, service and technical staffof AAR facilities on implementation of policies and procedures thatensure high quality, as well as accurate and complete diagnosis andrepair of members’ vehicles in compliance with AAA AutomotiveQualityStandards.
Responsibilities :
Performand analyze bimonthly and annual inspections of AAR facilities inall states to ensure Club Standards and Criteria are followed. Meetwith facility owners, managers and service personnel on properrepair procedures and documentation requirements when dealing withClub members.
Researchcomplex issues between members and AAR facilities regardingaccuracy of diagnosis, repair quality, cost of repairs andauthorization issues related to the repair of the members’vehicles.
Launch all new“value added benefits” programs and maintain existing programs intheir assignedterritories.
Collaboratewith facility management regarding marketing and cobranding offacilities, including proper use of the AAR logo in facilityadvertisements and promotions, on business cards and invoices, etc.to ensure compliance with Club standards and maximize exposure offacility tomembers.
Requirements :
Minimum 7 yearscomprehensive, hands-on experience in the automobile repairindustry, including the diagnosis and repair of automobiles,customer relations, shop management and dispute resolution stronglypreferred.
AutomotiveService Excellence (ASE) “Master Automobile Technician”Certification required.
L1Advanced Engine Performance" Certificationpreferred.
Must have acomprehensive understanding of modern automotive technology, theoryand principles.
Must havemoderate proficiency in using modern desktop computer operatingsystems and applications, including Microsoft Office (Outlook,Word, and Excel).
Advancedcommunication skills required, both written andoral.
Valid Driver License,acceptable Department of Motor Vehicle record and minimum limits ofautomobile liability insurancerequired.
