Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate e-Bike Mechanic to join our growing team. This role requires a solid understanding of both traditional bicycle mechanics and electric systems. You'll be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs and maintenance, and helping customers keep their e-bikes in peak condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, service, and repair electric bicycles including motors, batteries, controllers, wiring, throttles, and displays.
- Perform standard bicycle repairs including brake adjustments, wheel truing, drivetrain tuning, tire/tube replacement, and gear shifting optimization.
- Assemble new e-bikes and ensure they meet safety and performance standards before delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used.
- Communicate with customers to explain repair work and make recommendations.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Stay up to date with the latest e-bike technology and service methods.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a bicycle mechanic; e-bike experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of electric bike components and troubleshooting methods.
- Comfortable using diagnostic tools and multimeters.
- Familiarity with a wide range of e-bike brands (e.g., Super73, Rad Power, Aventon, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and safety.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal training or certification in bicycle/e-bike repair.
- Experience with custom e-bike builds or conversions.
- Basic knowledge of soldering and electrical wiring.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $23.81 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
