SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the delivery of all services provided by the Sprinkler Service Division (SSD). This role requires project planning, resource management, supervision, training, parts procurement, and customer-facing activities in accordance of established policies and procedures. The SSD Manager plays a key role in creating and maintaining a strong culture and positive work environment that will support and enable all team members, both within and outside the division, to be successful. This role works collaboratively with the Service Coordinator and Estimators to deliver jobs on time and budget. The Manager leads his or her division in the implementation and execution of change, including but not limited to; changes to company processes and policies, technical requirements, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures to maximize employee adoption. This role fosters accountability, teamwork and mutual trust and respect for all team members through mentoring and coaching while developing and maintaining a high level of commitment to all.

DUTIES:

  • Staff development
  • Performing quality control inspections of field technician’s work.
  • Growing and maintaining strong subcontracting relationships
  • Build and strengthen new and existing relationships with sprinkler parts and systems manufactures suppliers to increase market share.
  • Advise and ensure safety precautions are adhered to.
  • Tools inventory management
  • Ensuring Invoicing and Test Reporting are completed, per accounting timelines.
  • Creates and executes an apprentice training program to build divisional staff.
  • Responsible for the delivery of all fire sprinkler service opportunities brought to the division, including troubleshooting, maintaining, inspection, testing, modification, replacement or installation and specialty testing. Primary responsibilities include:
    • Project Planning, staff selection and resourcing, and profitable delivery.
    • Ensuring that all jobs are delivered per manufactures recommendations and NFPA requirements.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, plus the ability to multi-task and work in a fast- paced team environment.
  • Detail-oriented focus with high standards for accuracy and follow through.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel).
  • Proficient working knowledge of up to date Manufactures requirements and Fire Code standards including but not limited to NFPA #13, #25, #72, #72a.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all employee and company information.
  • Ability to work overtime and or outside standard business hours and or weekends as needed to accommodate customer needs.
  • Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements.
  • This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to post accident, reasonable suspicion or contract required drug testing.
