Business Summary:
This position will be responsible will manage various business-to-business (B2B) accounts receivable portfolio. Responsibilities include collecting customer outstanding receivable balances by enforcing terms of sale; timely analysis and making decisions for resolution of over/short payments and deductions/claims; reviewing and taking action on orders; responding to internal and external customer inquiries; creating reports and analysis using excel; ability to adhere to new requirements; and must be very excel savvy. Interacts with all levels of management internally and externally to minimize risk and improve profitability and the collections cycle. Serve as the main point of contact in identifying and resolving issues that impact receivables.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Daily interaction with customer accounts, account reconciliations and adjustments, advising and negotiating of delinquent accounts and further penalties and legal consequences in relation to present account standing. Reports outstanding days sales and prepares late fee waivers, as needed via phone/email
- Serve as a communication point between departments and sales team by on customer account status to maximize collection rate and timely resolution of discrepancies
- Performs regular review of assigned customers’ account status to ensure timely payment according to terms
- Adheres to company credit hold policy thresholds, reviewing customer account status, payment performance, and sales collection action practices
- Researches and resolves account disputes, contract research, rejected/returned payments, skipped payments/invoices, unapplied cash, and corresponds with customers to reconcile payments and resolve past due balances
- Secures client payment for outstanding accounts over 90 days past due, counsels and negotiates settlement and provides effective follow-up throughout the entire process.
- Makes recommendations to department management on potential bad debt accounts according to company guidelines
- Supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience and relationships
- Provide excellent customer service to clients by responding to inbound/outbound emails, phone calls and assist with client inquiries/complaints, ensure client information and collection call documentation is correct in all related key systems
- Performs other related duties, tasks, requests and directives issued from management as required

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field, a minimum of (3) three years of professional work experience with business-to-business high volume collections and deductions (preferably in the sales advertising or travel hospitality field).
- Related experience beyond (3) years can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.
Hiring Range: $21.23 to $25.90
This position is also eligible for participation in AAA, Inc.'s Annual Incentive Plan.
