The Risk Management Analyst monitors trends and developments in the commercial insurance industry and analyzes, and administers insurance and risk management policies and procedures. This position supports all aspects of corporate property, casual, and E&O insurance programs, including gathering insurance underwriting data, completing new and renewal submissions, coordinating loss control reviews, assisting the Risk Manager in filing claims, and working with counsel to complete lawsuit discovery responses. The Risk Management Analyst also assesses club performance and develops sales plans to grow club and industry-based preferred supplier programs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conducts research and gathers discovery documents and information in litigated matters.
- Monitors litigation, insurance coverage, loss prevention and control information and other corporate insurance/risk management information and how it affects the company’s bottom line and AAA brand.
- Compiles, analyzes and maintains underwriting data for coverage placement with brokers and insurance companies and for insurance premium audits.
- Completes and submits new and renewal insurance applications.
- Develop and implement loss control and prevention measures in conjunction with insurance company representatives.
- Leads all aspects of AAA Insurance Standards compliance, including response to internal and external requests and questions regarding insurance programs, certificates and coverage issues.
- Communicates club liability requirements, collect and reviews Certificates of Insurance from each club.
- Works with the Risk Manager to assist in the organization and maintenance of an AAA, Inc. business continuity and disaster recovery plan (BCP), working closely with users across business lines and support services.
- Supports development of disaster preparedness and contingency plans for AAA organizational emergencies.
- Serves as project lead in the growth of club insurance programs, including account-planning meetings, sales planning and promotion development, club inquiries, policy renewals, and revenue and billing administration.
- Manages communications with club representatives and outside business partners.
- Operates a communication forum and hosts webinars for club commercial insurance education.
- Monitors accuracy of financial dealings with brokers, insurance companies and vendors, including premiums, fees and credits.
- Prepares Insurance Services administrative documents, including annual goals, budget, strategic plans, and program development.
Requirements, Competencies and Certifications
- In-depth understanding of the insurance coverage, products and general industry regulations.
- Knowledge of risk management, property and casualty, workers comp, professional liability, and life and health insurance.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Uses time effectively. Anticipates obstacles and adjusts priorities as needs change. Keeps others informed of progress.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field and three (3) or more years of related insurance and risk management experience; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Certification in Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certifications preferred.
Hiring Range: $58,000 - $66,700
This position is eligible for participation in the AAA, Inc. Annual Incentive Plan.
