The Agency Insurance Agent is a key role in our transition to a direct carrier model, providing support to our MCIC team by offering expertise on agency products and serving members who do not qualify for our exclusive MCIC product. This role assists MCIC agents in bundling additional insurance products like Dwelling/Fire, flood, and specialty coverages (motorcycles, boats, RVs, etc.), and independently handles the sales and service of agency products for members outside the MCIC's eligibility criteria. The ideal candidate will excel in insurance product knowledge, customer service, and collaboration, ensuring a seamless experience for all members.
What you will do:
- Support MCIC Sales Team: Assist MCIC agents in integrating agency products into their sales process, ensuring comprehensive coverage options are available for members. Provide prompt and efficient support by offering product information and bundling strategies to enhance the member experience.
- Sales and Service for Non-Qualified Members: Directly sell and service agency products to members who do not qualify for our exclusive carrier product, ensuring that these members receive suitable coverage options and exceptional service.
- Product Bundling and Packaging: Facilitate the bundling of agency products such as Dwelling/Fire, flood, motorcycles, boats, and RVs. Collaborate with MCIC agents to provide complete insurance solutions that meet members' diverse needs.
- Collaboration and Integration: Act as a liaison between MCIC and agency teams, developing processes that streamline the integration of agency products. Work with various stakeholders to ensure effective communication, procedures and workflow.
- Response Time and Customer Service: Maintain a high standard of service to the MCIC team by responding to requests and inquiries in a timely manner. Ensure that MCIC agents have the support they need to close sales efficiently and provide exceptional service to members.
- Member Service Excellence: Deliver high-quality service by responding promptly to member inquiries related to agency products. Provide clear, accurate information and resolve any issues quickly to maintain member satisfaction.
- Support and Knowledge Sharing: Offer support and resources to MCIC agents on agency products, enhancing their ability to present these options confidently. Stay informed on all insurance products and updates to maintain expertise.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Develop familiarity with various insurance carrier products, services, and processes. Follow all agency procedures in qualifying, quoting, binding coverage, and processing member payments to ensure compliance and minimize errors.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, insurance company representatives, and other partners to ensure successful integration of non-carrier products and broaden awareness of our offerings.
- High School Diploma required and
- Associate's Degree or relevant coursework in Insurance or a related field preferred
- 1-3 years Insurance customer service or sales experience, preferably with familiarity in property and casualty products, and non-core products such as dwelling fire, flood, and specialty coverages. required
- Personal Lines Insurance License Required and
- Property & Casualty (P&C) License Preferred
