Multiple full-time Tow Truck Operator positions available primarily out of our Manhattan NY location. **Prior experience NOT required. CDL is NOT required.
Positions available on SECOND and THIRD SHIFT.
Compensation: The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $27.00 / hour. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, shift differentials and experience. Annual bonuses are offered to employees and certain roles are eligible to earn additional forms of compensation through monthly and/or quarterly incentives. Additionally, employees may participate in our award winning medical, dental, vision, wellness, financial (6% 401k match), and a wide array of other employee and membership benefits.
Additional $2.75 per hour overnight shift differential on any hours worked between 10pm and 6am. Additional $1.75 per hour evening shift differential for any hours worked between 6pm and 10pm. Additional $1 per hour shift differential for working weekend hours. Differentials can be combined.
As a AAA Roadside Technician, you will be responsible for providing safe, best-in-class roadside solutions for AAA members. Flatbed & Tow drivers are responsible for responding to member requests for roadside assistance. They ensure member safety, vehicle security, and education to members on possible vehicle issues. In this role, you will provide minor mechanical assistance in an attempt to get the member’s vehicle safely back on the road. If not successful, you will then safely tow the disabled vehicle to a member requested destination. You will be considered a hero to several people each and every day!
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED Required
Experience
At least 21 years of age Required and Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity of electrical troubleshooting Required
Licenses and Certifications
Active and valid driver’s license issued by only one state or jurisdiction Required and DOT card pre-hire and as a current employee within 1 Year Required and Satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment in accordance with policy.
For TOW positions: A NY state issued driver's license is required to obtain a W Endorsement for towing from the DMV.
