What are the responsibilities and job description for the Travel Agent position at AAA Southern Pennsylvania?
AAA Southern Pennsylvania is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team in a full-time travel sales position for our State College, PA office. Our travel agents provide professional vacation planning for members and customers. You’ll promote, sell and secure reservations for a variety of travel services including travel by ship, package tours, air, car rental, hotel, rail and travel insurance. You will develop and maintain clientele and obtain referrals from existing clientele.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Successful completion of travel school or travel agency experience preferred
- Must be passionate about travel
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to prospect, close sales and generate referrals are essential to the job
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task and have excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of computers and ability to navigate between multiple systems and web browsers.
