AAA USA is looking for an A&P Mechanic to join the Engine Install team. This is a W2 position and would mainly be 2nd shift (3 PM - 11PM). We are offering very competitive rates!
Position Summary:
The Engine Installation Mechanic performs various tasks for the installation and mounting of Safran or CFM Engines on A320 aircraft at the Airbus Mobile Facility on behalf of AAA USA. Sustains a high-quality level, always pay attention to details of work while completing all work in a safe and timely manner. Leads the rest of the engine installation and quality teams to ensure that entire group is working together in an efficient and safe way while maintaining the highest quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transporting (on the floor) engines to locate beneath the wings of the aircraft.
- Execute the mounting of the engines on the aircraft pylons
- Proceed to make all mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical connections of tubes, lines, mechanical assemblies, wires, and components associated with the engine.
- Record measurements and characteristics (trials, testing, steps & gaps) and report any irregularities to the on-site customer quality organization
- Verify the compliance of the work with the generic and specific standards defined in the technical work documentation
- Apply the QSE (quality, safety, and environment) management system and respect the processes, procedures, and instructions currently in effect
- Contribute to the management of non-conformities, customer complaints and corrective and preventive actions
- Builds a consensus with the engine installation team members, leads by example, and fosters a team atmosphere.
- Works with the Engine Installation team manager in team member performance analysis, etc.
- This is a hands-on position.

Qualifications:
- Teamwork, flexibility, integrity and a high degree of professionalism are required.
- Qualifications include:
- An FAA valid A&P license
- 3-5 years aviation/engine maintenance
- Excellent knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints
- Manual abilities, dexterity, and attention to detail
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety rules and how to use personal and environmental protection equipment
- Capacity to work as a team and under pressure and to adapt to a constantly evolving environment
- Self-motivated
- Commitment to high quality requirements and FOD prevention
- Must be fluent in English (writing, speaking & reading)
