Essential Functions:
- Set-up and installation of welding equipment.
- Execution of welding on gas turbine components as per the required technical specification.
- Quality check of the performed work before operation step confirmation.
- Preparation/confirmation of the required quality documentation.
- Reporting of used production time per production step.
- Setting up welding parameters, selects consumable materials, and prepares work piece for new welding process trials together with engineering staff.
- Designs and fabricates welding fixtures, chill blocks, and purge boxes as required.
- Reporting of technical deviations with the Non-Conformance Reporting System (NCR).
- Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment and tools.
- Keeping the working environment and machines in a clean and proper condition.
- Following Environmental Health and Safety regulations.
- Continually improving operations and the working environment.
- Other tasks assigned by production manager or supervisor.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3 years of experience with TIG welding.
- 3 years of experience in a production or maintenance environment.
- 1 years of experience with welding of Ni-base or Ni-Cr alloys.
- Experienced in carrying out visual inspections of welds.
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Certified in welding (TIG & MIG) or equivalent years of experience.
- Must complete EHS-assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix.
