PRIMARY FUNCTION: This role is responsible for aligning sales operations, objectives, and goals to the overall strategic company objectives. This role also provides direct leadership and coaching to the territory’s travel advisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the daily operations of the travel advisory staff for the assigned territory, providing leadership, coaching, guidance, and direction.
- Work closely with the Senior Manager of Travel Sales to assist in creating management objectives and implement sales strategies and tactics aimed at increasing productivity, quality, and profitability.
- Establish advisor objectives and review activity to ensure production and lead generation activity objectives are being met.
- Responsible for implementing sales strategies and tactics aimed at increasing productivity, quality and profitability while enhancing morale and fostering accountability.
- Collaborate with travel leadership to monitor and evaluate performance of various campaigns and design and implement programs to increase performance.
- Develop and maintain positive partnerships with company sales, marketing, product and vendor resources.
- Promote positive growth of club membership metrics.
- Oversee and enforce company and club policies.
- Contribute to creation and management of territory budget.
- Achieve and maintain an acceptable expense/revenue ratio, profit margin and growth rate.
- Provide support and assistance to the team leadership and work on other duties as assigned.
- Contributes to a positive team dynamic through respectful interactions, positive contributions, and active collaboration to achieve department and organizational goals.
- Incorporates AAA’s vision, mission and values in day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to AAA’s vision mission and values.
- Provide direct management to Travel Advisors.
- Responsible for developing people, improving processes, reducing costs, monitoring quality, delivering results against established objectives, and ensuring a high level of service to internal and external customers.
- Manages assigned employees by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, developing, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning monitoring, appraising, and reviewing employee job contributions; maintaining compensation, resolving problems and implementing change.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) in business, sales, hospitality, or similar field or equivalent experience
- 4 years’ experience in travel industry
- 3 years’ experience in leadership or management role
- Experience in travel technologies preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing, including effective use of listening skills.
- Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict, relate positively to people in stressful situations, and remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to address multiple demands and adjust style and approach to suit situations that involve rapidly changing tasks, shifting priorities, simultaneous demands or transitions into new assignments.
- Ability to make timely and sound decisions, understanding the impact and implications and providing feedback on outcomes.
- Ability to take extra measures and independent action to solve problems and get work done when the situation calls for it while holding self and others accountable.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The physical environment is typical of a standard office space. It requires the employee to work inside for the duration of work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, sitting for more than 50% of the time. This position will require occasionally moving about inside the office to access equipment, cabinets, etc. May work around office equipment which could be noisy, such as copiers and fax machines.
- Schedule will include some evenings and weekends. This role will require an in-office presence, Once a month for 3 days, at our Newport Location.

Salary : $105,876 - $126,990
