Our Blood Institute is looking for a MANUFACTURING & LOGISTICS OPERATIONS DIRECTOR in the Oklahoma City area who will provide direction and support to teams on blood products manufacturing, inventory management, and logistical distribution throughout the system as well as to external accounts on a daily basis. Plan, direct, and facilitate the design and implementation of projects for the infrastructure, systems, and services of the technical operations in accordance with regulatory requirements. Provide support and oversight of all external accounts to ensure contractual obligations. Coordinate with all Center BPS leaders to provide the technical and business operations knowledge needed to achieve goals of the centers.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead daily manufacturing and inventory huddles to provide clear directions and support to teams on tactical plans.
- Actively contribute to the Production Planning team and other associated systemwide manufacturing and/or inventory committees.
- Support Tech Ops Systems in root cause analysis, and lead in the development of quality improvement actions plans.
- Accountable for assuring improvement plans are sustainable and complied with by all responsible team members.
- Provide support and feedback to Hospital Relations team on issues with member hospitals. Collaborate and resolve issues interdepartmentally to provide effective service to clients.
- Partner with Executive Director in the development of KPIs in the manufacturing and inventory management departments. Accountable for ensuring the success of KPIs.
- Oversee and direct activities with cycle counts in the manufacturing and inventory management departments.
- Maximize the efficiency of the organization by keeping the outdated products to a minimum within the department.
- Develop and maintain all procedures and training materials that reflect activities performed in the manufacturing and inventory management departments.
- Assess and redesign, as appropriate, workload productivity to ensure reliable outcomes are delivered on time. Lead direct reports in updating the staff schedule, whenever necessary.
- Perform annual reviews for direct reports. Assess performance appraisals conducted by direct reports.
- Ensure mandatory training assignments and annual competency evaluations are performed before due dates.
- Provide financial and operational reporting for the BPS (Logistics & Inventory Management) and Manufacturing Operations departments.
- Direct and provide support for all investigational studies and projects in the BPS (Logistics & Inventory Management) and Manufacturing Operations departments.
- Complete all budgeting activities related to the department. Monitor and track the budget through each fiscal year and report and explain any variances within the department.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree with five (5) years of experience in blood banking/laboratory industry AND Two (2) years of management experience in blood banking/laboratory industry required
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology, biological, chemical, or physical sciences preferred
- Effective communicator.
- Strong MS Excel expertise with superior data analytical skills.
- Ability to absorb and interpret large complex data and present findings in executive summary in writing as well as in presentations.
