What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at AAC Inc?
Serves as the project manager for large and complex task orders from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Shall assist the Government Program Manager in working with the Government Contracting Officer (KO), Contracting Officer Representative (COR), the task order-level Task Order Managers, Government management personnel and customer agency representatives. Under the guidance of the Program Manager, responsible for the overall management of the specific task order(s) and ensuring that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner.
A Secret Clearance is required for this position
Required Skills
o Oversee the execution and delivery of specific task orders within the framework of a larger project or contract. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
o Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and the project team. Maintain open lines of communication, addressing client needs, concerns, and providing regular progress updates.
o Lead cross-functional project teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff. Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure alignment with project goals and deliverables.
o Ensure that appropriate resources (personnel, equipment, and materials) are allocated to meet task order requirements. Monitor resource utilization and adjust as necessary to keep projects on track.
o Monitor project budgets, including tracking costs and managing resources to ensure that the task order is completed within financial constraints. Prepare cost estimates, approve expenses, and report on financial status regularly.
o Proactively identify risks and issues that could impact project timelines, scope, or costs. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and manage the resolution of issues as they arise.
o Ensure that the task order meets all quality standards and complies with relevant policies, regulations, and contract requirements. Perform regular reviews and inspections to assess deliverable quality.
o Maintain comprehensive records of project progress, decisions, changes, and deliverables. Prepare and present regular reports to stakeholders, including the client, senior management, and project sponsors.
o Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall project performance.
Required Experience
Experience :
- Education : BS or BA or four (4) additional years of related experience.
- Five (5) years project management or other relevant experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and / or private sector in the IT and / or consulting fields.
- Five (5) years of leadership experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and / or private sector in the IT and / or consulting fields and working with DLA’s J6 operations.
