What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthodontic Assistant position at AAC Orthodontics?
Our growing practice is looking for an energetic, motivated, and friendly Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in customer service and will be capable of working well in a team environment as well as on their own. The successful applicant will have experience in orthodontics, strong team-building skills and a commitment to the highest level of professionalism and customer service.
Full time and part time positions available. Must be able to travel to all locations on regular basis. Experience in Orthodontics preferred but not required, on the job training is provided.
Responsibilities Include:
- Greeting patients and seating them in a timely manner
- Assisting the doctor in prepping the patient for their scheduled appointment, removing/replacing archwires, removing/replacing ties, prepping the patient to be examined by the Doctor
- Provide hygiene instructions with patient and/or parent, caring for extra
- Discussing appointment details with patient and parent or responsible party if necessary
- Taking accurate records
- Accurately charting all appointment details and information in computer chart
- Sterilization of all chairside equipment and instruments used
- Arriving in a timely manner each morning to help set up and prep for the days patients, along with clean up and shutting down the operatory at the end of the working day
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour
