Seton Hill University invites applications for the full-time position of Graduate Admissions Counselor. This position is primarily an in-person position, with limited remote work. This position assists with recruitment and enrollment of students to graduate programs such as MBA, Art Therapy, Writing Popular Fiction (MFA), Education and Criminal Justice.
The Graduate Admissions Counselor will work in conjunction with the Director of Graduate and Adult Studies and the Graduate Program Directors to recruit graduate students to the university. This position reports to the Director of Graduate and Adult Studies.
Required Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities
A baccalaureate degree is required. Experience in admissions is preferred.

Required Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities
- The candidate must be able to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and in person, through technology, and by telephone.
- Must be able to travel periodically to regional locations and be able to work flexible hours including occasional evening and weekends (virtual).
- Guide prospective graduate students through the admissions process, from inquiry to enrollment.
- Provide detailed information about programs and admission requirements.
- Evaluate prospective student applications, transcripts, and supporting documents to determine eligibility using Slate and other relevant tools.
- Collaborate with faculty, program directors, and the Director of Graduate and Online Studies to align admissions strategies with institutional goals.
- Implement recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of applicants.
- Represent the institution at graduate fairs, networking events, and online webinars.
- Maintain accurate records of applicants and track progress using Slate CRM system and other technology.
- Provide personalized support to applicants, addressing concerns and guiding them through next steps.
- Analyze enrollment trends and prepare reports to inform strategic decision-making.
- Must be a team player and be able to prioritize, organize, and multi-task.
