Duties
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any issues.
- Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as needed.
- Perform surgical and dental procedures and assist in critical care situations.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up procedures.
- Provide guidance on animal care, nutrition, and behavior to pet owners.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Experience
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
