AAHOA, a leading trade association for America's hotel owners, is looking for a strategic, driven, and solution-oriented National Account Manager. Position Overview

AAHOA is seeking an experienced and dynamic National Account Manager to lead and expand sales and business development efforts across the country. This individual will drive revenue growth by managing sponsorships, partnerships, advertising sales, and exhibitor engagement for AAHOA’s events and programs. The role requires a proactive, relationship-focused professional who understands the hospitality industry and excels in strategic sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Execution

Develop and execute a comprehensive national sales strategy to achieve revenue goals across multiple product lines, including sponsorships, conferences and trade shows.

  • Account Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, vendors, and sponsors, ensuring long-term collaboration and repeat business.

  • New Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand AAHOA’s network of partners and clients.

  • Event Sales
  • Lead sales efforts for AAHOACON, regionally based hotel owner conferences, trade shows, and other key events, maximizing exhibitor and sponsorship participation.

  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with the marketing, events, and membership teams to align sales initiatives with organizational goals and member needs.

  • Contract Negotiation
  • Manage contract negotiations with partners and sponsors to ensure mutual value and compliance with AAHOA policies.

  • Reporting & Analytics
  • Track and analyze sales performance, providing regular updates to leadership on progress, trends, and opportunities.

  • Market Insights
  • Stay informed about hospitality industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to refine sales strategies.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within the hospitality, travel, or event industries.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of the hospitality industry and its key players.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel nationally as required to attend events and meet with clients.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Experience working with associations or membership-based organizations.
  • Familiarity with sponsorship and exhibit sales for trade shows or large-scale events.
