SUMMARY
Join our fast-growing hazardous building materials remediation/abatement team as a Foreman and be a key player in our mission to get the job done safely and efficiently. We’re a dynamic company with a "Make It Happen" culture, where hard work, skill, and teamwork drive success.
As an Abatement Foreman, you will be responsible for ensuring all work is conducted in compliance with all Federal, State, and Local Laws, Regulations, Standards, and Rules. In this role, you are a leader in the company and are expected to lead, coach, mentor, and train employees to ensure we build a strong and cohesive team, allowing us to meet and exceed our goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, manage, and hold accountable all laborers or other AAI employees and subcontractors on your site
- Complete all required daily forms and other documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner
- Meet or exceed production rates/budget/schedule, and communicate as soon as you are at risk of falling behind.
- You are the competent person. You are the competent person on-site for our scope of work, and you must adhere to our safety and quality standards as well as all Federal, State, and Local Laws, Regulations, Standards, and Rules. You must also ensure that all engineering controls, work practices, documentation, and training are in compliance.

LEADERSHIP & SOFT SKILLS
- Crew supervision – Experienced in training and mentoring junior foremen and laborers.
- Safety-first mindset – Strong record of zero major incidents and enforcement of OSHA/company protocols.
- Problem-solving – Ability to adapt to unexpected challenges (structural instability, hidden hazards, weather delays).
- Communication – Clear coordination with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Time & resource management – Keeps projects on schedule and within budget.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED (preferred but not always required)
EXPERIENCE
- 5-10 years of experience in the abatement industry with at least 3-5 years in the Foreman or Site Supervisor role
- Have proven experience running medium to large-scale abatement projects
TECHNICAL SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Regulations/Work Practices/Engineering Controls – a good understanding of the industry regulations and the ability to reference and interpret them when needed. Ability to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the required work practices and engineering controls required for different classes of abatement work.
- Advanced safety certifications: OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, 40-hour asbestos contractor supervisor, confined space entry, and fall protection.
- Equipment – thorough understanding of all equipment used to perform abatement, such as decontamination units, air filtration devices, manometers, air sampling pumps, airless sprayers, aerial lifts, scaffolding, etc., to name a few.
- Blueprint & plan reading - ability to interpret selective demolition plans, site surveys, and engineering reports
- Technology - Ability to adapt to new technologies as deployed such as the use of an iPad to manage projects, perform inspections, and complete daily job logs. Specific experience in FieldFlo is desirable.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work setting - Outdoors and indoors on construction sites consisting of various terrains with exposure to varying weather conditions and hazards.
