We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to provide psychological assessments, therapy, and intervention services to individuals experiencing emotional, mental, and behavioral challenges. The Clinical Psychologist will work with diverse populations, developing treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient well-being. The ideal candidate will have expertise in evidence-based therapies, crisis intervention, and psychological testing.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and diagnostic assessments to determine mental health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused interventions.
- Offer crisis intervention and risk assessments for patients experiencing acute mental health issues.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
- Educate patients and families on coping strategies, mental health resources, and behavioral management techniques.
- Administer and interpret psychological tests to assess cognitive, emotional, and personality functioning.
- Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and clinical notes in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
- Conduct research and stay up to date on best practices in clinical psychology and behavioral health interventions.
- Provide training, supervision, and mentorship to psychology interns or mental health professionals as needed.
Qualifications:
- Degree/Education: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or (Psy.D.) degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychology Association (APA) accredited psychology program.
- Internship/Residency: Shall have completed an APA-accredited internship/residency in professional psychology.
Experience:
- Shall have one (1) year professional experience treating military veterans, active duty and/or reservists, and least two (2) years professional experience working in an outpatient mental health clinic.
- BLS certification required prior to start date
