SUMMARY
The Warehouse Associate position plays a key role in warehouse operations, ensuring efficient handling of materials, equipment, and deliveries. This position is responsible for receiving, organizing, and maintaining inventory, preparing and delivering orders to job sites, and ensuring a clean and secure warehouse environment. The role also includes performing basic equipment repairs, yard maintenance, and assisting with property security. The safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and company vehicles is essential. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of performing physical labor while following all safety guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, unload, and organize incoming shipments
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely
- Ensure a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
- Yard upkeep and maintenance
- Property security
- Deliveries to jobs in need of equipment or supplies
- Repairing equipment and tools used in the field
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED (preferred but not always required)
Relevant certifications such as forklift certifications are a plus.
40-hour asbestos-contractor-supervisor training (preferred but otherwise provided)
EXPERIENCE
- 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or general labor role
- Experience with inventory management and order fulfillment
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred)
- Basic maintenance or repair experience for tools and equipment
- Previous experience with yard upkeep and property maintenance is helpful
- Driving experience (valid driver’s license required, CDL may be a plus depending on delivery needs)
OTHER REQURIED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to lift 50 lbsand perform physical labor
- Familiarity with OSHA safety protocols and warehouse best practices
- Basic mechanical skills for equipment/tool repairs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Clean driving record for making deliveries
