Position Summary:
The Financial Management Certification Specialist will support the Government in planning, executing, and implementing the Financial Management Certification Program (FMCP), which involves managing between 80-120 personnel on a monthly basis. The role includes ongoing tracking, reporting, and coordination of all FMCP activities to ensure compliance with program requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with Government representatives to update position descriptions requiring financial management certifications.
- Managing coding adjustments to The Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) to ensure accurate tracking in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Overseeing administrative management of personnel records in LMS, ensuring program compliance through regular updates and database management.
- Maintaining and updating the FMCP Microsoft Teams channel or other collaborative tools, providing resources for 500 series personnel.
- Providing guidance and FM Certification briefings to new personnel to ensure 100% compliance.
- Collecting training documentation, conducting gap analysis, and developing tailored training recommendations within specified timelines.
- Attend bi-weekly or monthly OUSD(C) virtual meetings, document meeting minutes, and address actionable items related to program certification.
- Responding to DCSA 500 series personnel inquiries within 1-3 business days and assisting in reconciling personnel listings, addressing audit findings, and providing LMS updates as necessary.
- Assisting in updating and drafting changes to position descriptions for 500 series personnel, ensuring proper coordination and coding in DCPDS, DLA, and LMS systems.
