Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and approve new products, ensuring compliance with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing quality concerns and requirements.
- Respond to quality issues with effective root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Lead cross-functional teams in pursuit of quality goals and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to internal and external quality systems and industry standards.
- Conduct and lead internal and external audits to identify gaps and ensure compliance.
- Monitor quality data and KPIs to support strategic decision-making.
- Organize and facilitate quality initiatives and training events across the facility.
- Apply statistical control methods to analyze performance and drive improvements.
- Provide daily support to production teams with a focus on OEE, FTQ, customer satisfaction, and scrap reduction.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
- Proven experience in quality engineering, ideally within a powder metal or related manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and experience guiding cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Experience conducting quality audits and managing related documentation.
- Proficiency in statistical process control and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Bachelors Degree or 3-5 Years Quality Engineer experience
