What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Instructional Coordinator position at AAMA Sanchez Charter School?
OBJECTIVE
Coordinate the state (STAAR, TELPAS), national (PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP, IB), local benchmarking assessments, and other district-wide assessments. Coordinate the campus's compliance with its responsibilities under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which prohibits discrimination against students with disabilities and requires their needs be met. Coordinate RTI process, which reflects how well students respond to research-based instruction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Know, interpret, and carry out rules and regulations relating to the Texas state assessment program.
- Attend testing coordinator training provided by the district, educational service center, TEA, and other entities.
- Coordinate the campus's compliance with Section 504, ensuring the needs of students with disabilities are met.
- Oversee the RTI process to evaluate students' responses to research-based instruction.
- Collaborate with educators to implement instructional accommodations for diverse learners.
- Facilitate local benchmarking assessments and district-wide testing schedules.
- Serve as a liaison between the campus and various stakeholders regarding assessment and intervention processes.
- Ensure campus compliance with district and state assessment policies and procedures.
- Support curriculum implementation in classrooms.
- Train faculty and staff on curriculum and assessment policies and procedures.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of testing materials and student performance results.
- Investigate, document, and report testing irregularities.
- Monitor campus compliance with assessment-related individual accountability systems such as the Student Success Initiative (SSI), Individual Graduation Committee (IGC), and Individual Graduation Review (IGR).
- Serve as the LPAC Campus Coordinator.
