AAMCO of Hackettstown has been serving the local community since 1986 and has developed a reputation for honesty, reliability, and exceptional car care. As the leading transmission service center in the area, we are looking for a technician who will maintain the high standards that we expect from our staff. This role will eventually replace a technician who has been instrumental to our success for over 36 years. You will be asked to take part in a mentoring program where you will learn from his vast automotive knowledge and hit predetermined objectives with the goal of becoming an AAMCO Master Transmission Rebuilder and Diagnostician.

- Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicle automotive systems
- Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems.
- Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
- Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to service writers and technicians
- Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools and repair techniques
- Professionally record findings so that repairs costs are accurately estimated

- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a General Automotive Technician; Prefer a B-level technician with desire for advancement.
- Able to commit to an extensive training program with the goal of becoming a Master Tech, Transmission Rebuilder, and Diagnostician.
- Able to troubleshoot both mechanical and drive ability issues
- Open to performing all automotive services offered by the center
- Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment
- Knowledge of automotive software systems and technology
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Own professional grade tools to service any general repair need
