Job Overview:
As a UI/UX Designer in the healthcare domain, you will be responsible for designing user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces that simplify the complexities of health insurance for our customers. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define user-centric solutions and create designs that enhance customer satisfaction, engagement, and conversion rates.
Key Responsibilities:
- User Research & Analysis:
- Conduct user research to understand the unique needs, pain points, and preferences of our target audience (e.g., insurance beneficiaries, and administrators). Analyze healthcare-specific workflows, especially those around claims, coverage details, and provider interactions.
- Wireframes & Prototypes:
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for both web and mobile applications related to Health insurance products and services. Ensure that all designs are intuitive, visually engaging, and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Interaction Design:
- Design seamless interactions across different devices and platforms, focusing on simplifying complex insurance processes such as plan comparison, claims tracking, billing, and member portal navigation.
- Usability Testing:
- Plan and execute usability tests with end-users to gather feedback and iterate on designs. Analyze data from usability tests and make design improvements based on findings.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and content creators to ensure designs are implemented effectively. Maintain clear communication and provide design rationale to stakeholders.
- Compliance & Accessibility:
- Ensure that all design solutions adhere to healthcare industry regulations and accessibility standards (e.g., HIPAA compliance, WCAG 2.1), making sure the interface is accessible to users with disabilities.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with UI/UX design trends, especially in the healthcare industry, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the user experience.
Qualifications:
10 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in the healthcare, insurance, or financial services industry, with a focus on digital products like mobile apps, web applications, and customer portals.
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, and InVision.
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus for understanding front-end development constraints.
- Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first design principles.
- Experience with user-centered design principles and best practices.
Healthcare Domain Expertise:
Experience designing for healthcare products, specifically health Insurance domain , is highly preferred. Knowledge of insurance workflows, claims processing, member portals, and understanding of insurance terminology is beneficial.
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate complex user and business requirements into clear and actionable design solutions.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present design ideas effectively to non-design stakeholders.
