Position Overview:
The Director of Strategic Client Engagement is responsible for leading high-visibility, client-facing engagements after project contracts are executed. This role ensures effective project initiation, milestone tracking, and structured delivery across all phases, while providing clients with a consistent and professional experience.
As a senior figure at AARC, this role is also expected to bring regulatory insight, business acumen, and relationship-building skills to the client experience. This position is especially suited for experienced environmental attorneys or regulatory professionals with former public sector experience, such as a former EPA lawyer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead client kick-off meetings alongside the Business Development Manager.
- Present project scope, key deliverables, and milestone timelines.
- Ensure Power BI dashboards are properly populated and communicated.
- Coordinate milestone review and delivery meetings: draft, final, and post-project feedback.
- Collaborate across internal teams including Project Managers, Assistants, Power BI staff, and Regional Managers.
- Identify opportunities for additional client services based on in-depth understanding of AARC’s offerings.
- Serve as the senior-most representative in client meetings, reinforcing professionalism and technical-regulatory depth.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Former EPA attorney or regulatory professional with extensive experience in environmental law.
- 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, legal, or regulatory project delivery.
- Strong understanding of U.S. regulatory frameworks (e.g., Clean Air Act, RCRA, NPDES, EPCRA).
- Proven ability to lead client engagements and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and presenting to executives or regulatory officials.
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar project tracking tools.
