What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Attorney position at Aaron & Gianna, PLC?
Assists Shareholders in the representation of primarily institutional clients in the areas of insurance defense, insurance coverage, municipal litigation, commercial litigation, product liability defense, general litigation, mediations and arbitrations. 1 to 5 years experience. Major responsibilities will include: preparation of pleadings and memoranda; propounding and responding to discovery; taking and defending depositions; legal research; trial preparation and assistance at trial. Compensation for this position is on an eat what is killed basis. _ The Contract Attorney's Compensation will be 1/3 of fees collected by firm on work billed by the hour performed by the Contract Attorney. Other arrangements will be made as to compensation to the Contract Attorney for work brought into the Firm by the Contract Attorney as well as for work performed by the Firm on a contingent fee basis. The Contract Attorney shall be covered by the Firm's malpractice insurance but shall receive no benefits. Income paid to the Contract Attorney by the Firm shall be reflected on a 1099 form._
