Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Preceptor to join our team for the evening shift. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for training and mentoring newly hired CNAs’ ensuring they develop the necessary skills and confidence to provide exceptional patient care. This position is ideal for a seasoned CNA with a passion for teaching, leadership and hands on training.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide coaching and mentorship to newly hired CNAs.
Demonstrate proper patient care techniques, including bathing, feeding and proper transferring methods.
Ensure CNA follow facility protocols, infection control and patient safety procedures.
Able to evaluate and provide feedback on the trainee performance, offering constructive guidance for improvement.
Work collaboratively with the nursing team and success coach to ensure seamless patient care.
Maintain accurate records of the trainee progress and report to the Success Coach and DON.
Qualifications :
Active CNA Certification in New York State
Minimum of 5 years experience in a healthcare setting, long-term care preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independent as part of a team.
Knowledge of Infection control practices and patient safety.
