Product Technician

Description:

The Product Technician is responsible for merchandise handling, including loading, securing, delivering, setting up, troubleshooting, and demonstrating. Reviewing lease agreements is also occasionally required.

Duties:

• Acquisition and Maintenance of Customers
• Verify correct product and accessories for delivery or return
• Ensure that all merchandise is clean and in operating condition prior to delivery
• Review necessary information sheets
• Load, secure, and protect product in delivery vehicle
• Offload, install, and demonstrate merchandise
• Ensure delivery schedule is followed
• Deliver merchandise to Customers’ homes and businesses without additional damage
• Assist with merchandise returns – load and service product in vehicle
• Perform routine service calls and product exchanges
• Clean and certify merchandise in the Quality Assurance Center for all items personallyreturned
• Maintain the store’s warehouse in a neat and orderly manner
• Assist in maintaining the showroom floor as per company guidelines
• Safely operate delivery vehicle
• Document all vehicle movement on daily route sheets
• Conduct daily inspection of assigned delivery vehicle to ensure safety and maintenanceguidelines are met
• Confirm Customer identification, collect money, and obtain Customers signature on leaseagreements
• Assist in field marketing programs as requested by store management
• Deliver prescribed company advertisements and flyers when in field (5 up 5 down)
• Other tasks as assigned by management

Required Skills:

• Position routinely requires lifting, loading and “dollying” merchandise 50 – 300 pounds
• Neatly groomed appearance
• Good communication skills
• Strong technical skills or working knowledge of electronic products
• Good driving skills
• Satisfactory MVR, D.O.T physical/certification in states that require it, drug screen,criminal background investigation with job performance reference check and required testing, a valid Driver’s License, and compliance with the Company’s Driver Qualification Policy

Pay:

• Hourly Wage starting at $16.00 an hour, can negotiate based on skills and experience
• Stop Pay: Paid for every time the truck stops for a delivery, flat rate.
• Overtime: Occasional Overtime caused by long days, extra hours needed to keep up with customer delivery requirements.
• Return Bonus: Bonus pay for helping store Return merchandise in certain situations
• Commission: While not required, role is allowed to make sales on the Sales Floor and take a commission from that sale.

Hours:

• We operate M-Th from 9 AM - 6PM, F 9 AM - 7 PM.
• Saturdays we are open 9 AM - 4 PM. Saturdays are required.
• Sundays we are closed.
• Days off are typically Saturdays, but that can change depending on business needs.
• Deliveries may run late occasionally, and some nights may be used for an All Hands project to market or visit customers in field.
