This position is a HIGH GROWTH position. Our company has grown 1,000 percent over the past 7 years and is looking to add a senior manager to our team. Our company is in the early stages of becoming an industry leader in the Gas Utility space and is on a nationwide expansion. This position will report directly to owners.

Aaron’s Fabrication is a small, family-owned, high-volume contract manufacturing/supply chain company located in Clinton Township Michigan that was founded in 2014. Pipe fabrication is what we do. AF high quality products help keep the Gas networks flowing. Our company helps leading Utility companies achieve their vision of creating a more sustainable future. The AF highly diversified fabricated product line includes Meter Set Assemblies, manifolds, Rotary meter sets, Pipe Nipples, Farm Taps, Regulator Stations, Meter Mounting Brackets and many other fabricated steel piping assemblies. Our manufacturing operations include high volume assembly, CNC machining, high pressure leak testing, painting & Certified welding. Since our founding, we have manufactured over 200,000 Meter Set Assemblies for leading Fortune 500 Gas Utilities and that number is continuing to grow along with our customer base. AF has made many capital investments tailored around the Natural Gas Utility industry including owning the largest pipe nipple machining center in North America, automated assembly equipment, robotic end forming & paint line to name a few. Our company is expanding this year to a 50,000 square foot facility while keeping our other facility to accomodate the nationwide growth.

Aaron’s Fabrication is owned and operated by Sue Bursteinowicz CEO (Mom), Jim Gilliam Operations (Dad) and their (Son) Vice President Aaron B. Gilliam. All three are extremely involved in day-to-day operations and are on the shop floor daily. Our company isn’t your typical highly bureaucratic large company, we’re a small, highly dynamic, growing workforce. In 2014 the three started in a 1,000 square feet and now 7 years later they have moved into a new 15,000 square foot manufacturing facility. Just recently our company purchased a 50,000 square foot facility to accomodate strong demand from our customers.
Ideal Background & Job Duties:
- Strong background in pipe, valves & fittings fabrication with extensive knowledge of specifications (If candidate doesen't have PVF experience (Natural Gas, Oil, Water) they will need to have manufacturing experience in either Automotive, Aerospace or Defense environments).
- Must be able to learn Natural Gas Utility specifications quickly including: Meter Set pieces, regulators, swivels, fittings, relief valves, flanges meter nuts, meter bars, raw pipe specs ect
- Candidate must be able to read & interpret engineered piping system, meter mounting bracket drawings & machine tooling drawings (autocad experience would be a plus)
- 8-10 year background in managing 20 to 100 person teams
- Walks the shop floor daily to ensure individuals are following work instructions and assemblies are within tolerance/specification with in-process inspections.
- Extensive ERP manufacturing system knowledge (Syspro would be a plus). This includes implementation and maintaining the system day to day. Our company is currently in the process of implementing a new company wide cloud based system that candidate will be integral in that process. We're at the very early stage of implementation so candidate will need to meet with our senior management and ERP consulting firm to create new processes.
- Man power/work load scheduling based on customer demand and schedule
- Strong manufacturing background (Welding, CNC, Automation, Assembly). Candidate won't be required to operate equipment but must have understanding of it and tooling associated with it
- Strong background in quality mangement systems (ISO 9001). Our company is going to be implementing later in 2025 or early 2026. This position will also require candidate to run QMS system on macro level while working with quality assurance
- Setting jobs up on factory floor and providing insight how to make them run at peak efficiency while minimizing quality risks.
- Background in lean manufacturing (Kaizen, poka yoke)
- Schedule and ensure production is running smoothly for both assembly & welding teams. Work with managers on each side.
- Work with purchasing agent and floor managers to ensure Inventory of raw pipe, valves and fittings is always stocked
- Handle customer new work lineup meetings
- Lead production meetings

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
