Our team ensures we have the right tools and resources to strengthen communities and advocate for what matters most to families - focusing on health security, financial stability, and personal fulfillment. We'll challenge you to think and work innovatively on real-world projects. AARP is committed to your growth and cultivating your continued learning and development. This paid internship has an anticipated start date of early summer 2025, with the possibility of extending additional semesters.

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.
Compensation And Benefits
The hourly range is $18 for undergraduates, $21 for graduate students, and $28 for Ph.D. candidates. Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.

Responsibilities
- Apply strategic, analytical, and creative thinking to help promote our work through internal communications channels
- Assist with the planning and execution of a large-scale meeting of managers from across the country
- Gather research and analyze data to compile information on various topics that support AARP’s social mission
- Contribute to business processes and technology projects as needed
- Collect and analyze data to develop insights for decision-making and setting business priorities
- Produce and distribute scheduled reports
- Conduct research and analyze data to develop insights that inform business strategies
- Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university as rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or postdoctoral students and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship or must have previously graduated from college and enrolled in a continuing education program
- Pursuing a degree in Business, Operations, Marketing, or Communications
- Exceptional verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, anticipate project needs, and discern work priorities
- Ability to work well with diverse populations, including gender, race, and sexual orientation
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Regular and reliable job attendance
- Strong analytical skills
