Digital Marketing Intern (Summer start)

Responsibilities

Assisting with newsletter production, including using a content management system, artificial intelligence (AI), article selection, copywriting, image selection, and data analysis Assist with ad-hoc email campaigns, attending kick-off meetings, reviewing creatives, and more Keeping the various internal reports up-to-date and providing regular insights and recommendations to the team Assisting with on-site list growth tactics to help grow the newsletter lists via non-paid tactics Other projects as needed Qualifications Pursuing a degree in marketing or a related field, digital marketing preferred Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college / university rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or post-doctoral students and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship or must have previously graduated from college and enrolled in a continuing education program Experience managing projects in a work or classroom setting Ability to work with internal stakeholders, including business unit leads, digital channel leads, and members of the Product, Development, Membership, or Analytics teams Experience creating marketing plans and relevant coursework Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Strong use of Microsoft Office with Adobe Photoshop is a plus AARP will not sponsor an employment visa for this position at this time. Additional Requirements Regular and reliable job attendance Exhibit respect and understanding of others to maintain professional relationships In office / open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise Effective verbal and written communication skills Hybrid Work Environment AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories. Compensation and Benefits The hourly range is $18 for undergraduates, $21 for graduate students, and $28 for Ph.D. candidates. Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.
