Locum Physician Assistant (PA) - Emergency Medicine in Sarasota, FL

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a locum tenens opportunity in Emergency Medicine in Sarasota, FL. This position offers a chance to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced and rewarding emergency department setting.

As a Locums Emergency Medicine NP or PA, your responsibilities will include assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients presenting to the emergency department with various medical conditions, including acute injuries and illnesses. You will perform detailed patient histories and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory studies and imaging, and carry out clinical procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and other bedside interventions as required.

You will collaborate with emergency physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Additionally, you will respond to urgent or emergent medical situations, provide stabilization and treatment, educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Florida.
• Board certification as an NP or PA in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related specialty.
• Active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• DEA registration with prescribing authority.
