We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage at a facility in Mt. Pleasant, MI. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality emergency care in a well-equipped environment while maintaining a manageable workload.
The position offers 12-hour shifts, running from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, seven days a week. Physicians will manage an average of 54 patients per day in an 18-bed Emergency Department. The department handles an annual ER volume of approximately 20,000 visits, with 90% of total hospital admissions coming from the ED. On average, 8% of ED patients are admitted to the hospital daily, while 2% are transferred to other facilities. The ED is classified as a Provisional Level IV Trauma Center and uses Cerner as its electronic health record system.
As the Locums Emergency Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients presenting with a variety of medical conditions. Key duties include managing admissions, stabilizing and transferring patients requiring advanced care, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (EM) or Family Medicine (FM) with at least 2 years of emergency room experience
- Active Michigan medical license and DEA
- Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS
- Provider must be local to the Mt. Pleasant, MI, area
