Construction Accountant - Sevierville

General Responsibilities : Responsible for the overall accounting functions for multiple properties to include :

• Driving excellence for timely and accurate accounting.
• Ability and knowledge to prepare & analyze monthly profit & loss statements.
• Prepare journal entries, detailed reports, reconciliations and perform other accounting functions in accordance with policies, procedures, and deadlines.
• Assist with projects as required by Corporate Controller. Must be willing and able to sign Aatmos' non-disclosure and non-compete agreements Primary Functions : Construction Accounting Responsibilities :
• Maintain accurate records of all project finances for internal / external auditing and tax purposes.
• Track all Construction cost against budget and keep up to date
• Report any financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to management for review.
• Maintain electronic billing folders for all projects with the appropriate documents, including monthly waivers and invoices.
• Prepare and organize various reports, financial forms, and analyses.
• Process development & construction invoices including consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and supplier bills.
• Review the process for proper coding of construction invoices / payment applications and lien releases for contractors, subcontractors, and vendor invoices.
• Perform month end close process for development & construction books preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations. Corporate Accounting Responsibilities :
• Meet all processing and reporting deadlines.
• Resolve account payable issues or queries as requested.
• Complete monthly state and local tax filings for each property in a timely manner.
• Be knowledgeable of all SOPs for the development & construction accounting area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Corporate Controller which includes but is not limited to : o Balance sheet reconciliations o Bank reconciliations o Payroll o Auditsv
