Position Objective:
Provide regional Asset Care Program oversight, technical support, and guidance to assure safe and efficient maintenance practices to deliver maximum production quantity, quality and effective cost management while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the Company.

Technical Support
- Act as a liaison between the site teams and regional management to align local and regional objectives.
- Collaborate with Global Asset Care champion to utilize common tools and strategies as well as gain awareness of other region initiatives.
- Lead regional steering meetings and forums, sharing insights and learning from other sites and global best practices to support continuous improvements.
- Collaborate with site leadership to identify and implement maintenance best practices across all sites.
- Coordinate best practices with CMMS to manage work order, preventative and predictive maintenance programs and coordinate corresponding work.
- Assist in spare parts inventory control, best practice, and implementation.
- Provide troubleshooting, diagnostic, and analytical support to plant personnel.
- Assist in determining root cause of chronic problems to reduce downtime.
- Track, analyze and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
- Institute and oversee maintenance programs that preserve asset life, ensure maximum equipment availability and capacity.
- Institute and oversee a system to ensure that all vital records (e.g., operating manuals and service records) on plant equipment are complete and up to date.
- Identify processes/equipment that are under-performing or limiting production, perform root cause analyses and implement appropriate preventive/corrective actions to maximize equipment availability and efficiency.
- Demonstrate year over year improvements in through-put, equipment availability and downtime.
- Support annual skill assessments and implement training plans for all maintenance personnel, whilst tracking progress
- Develop Maintenance team skill sets through internal/external training opportunities.
- Develop with HR partner a strategy for internships that can lead to a pipeline of future asset care staff.
- Participate in skill-sharing and training initiatives across the region.
- Support the development of site/regional maintenance budgets and track performance against targets.
- Ensure Maintenance operational readiness requirements are established for installations, upgrades, and large-scale projects.
- Drive the adoption of innovative technologies and methodologies that benefit multiple sites
Deliverables
Site and Region Level KPIs
- Downtime Reduction: Reduce unscheduled downtime by X% year-on-year.
- PM Compliance: Achieve a preventive maintenance compliance rate of at least X%.
- Budget Adherence: Operate within X% of the allocated maintenance budget.
- Proactive vs Reactive: targeting maximizing ratio of Proactive (planned preventative, planned predictive, planned corrective) vs Unplanned corrective.
- MTBF; Mean Time Between Failure measure of the effective Proactive Maintenance plans and execution activities (Precision Maintenance, Optimized materials, Predictive Maintenance application, Skills/Capabilities optimized, etc.)
- MTTR; Mean Time to Repair - measure of the effective Reactive Maintenance execution activities (Problem solving capability, Critical Spares, Technical Libraries, quick changeover parts, design improvements, etc.)

- Provide monthly performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations for both site and regional improvement activities.

A COMBINATION OF THE LISTED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED
- Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), Maintenance Management, Facilities Management, or a related technical field preferred.
- Five (5) to Seven (7) years supervisory experience.
- Five (5) to Seven (7) years experience in production or maintenance in a manufacturing plant.
- Good working knowledge of Asset Care programs including autonomous maintenance concepts.
- Knowledge of GMP.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of computer spreadsheet, word processing and computerized maintenance management system software (CMMS).
- Understanding of food hygiene procedures and food safety requirements.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with a successful continuous improvement program.
- Automation project experience.
- Experience working in a 24/7 processing facility
