Paraprofessional Pay:
- Starting at $20.00/hr.
- 35 to 40 hours per week.
- Weekly Direct Deposit & Benefits Available: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k.
Paraprofessional Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or completion of competency videos (paid time included).
- Experience with preschool and elementary school-aged populations; experience with Autism support preferred.
- Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides individual and group instruction as directed; demonstrates and assists students with skill development exercises. Implements designated portions of lesson plans. Participates with students in classroom activities.
- Implements behavior modification plans. Observes and records student actions, progress, and other occurrences.
- Prepares the classroom and helps manage the students; organizes the room and materials; records attendance; maintains bulletin boards.
- Sets up and operates audio visual equipment.
- Performs photocopying and general office clerical work.
- Performs related work as required.
