Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disorders, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in providing support and education to enhance the quality of life for our clients and their families.
Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect data on client progress and behavior changes, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.
- Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral therapy techniques and strategies to reinforce at home.
- Provide direct care to clients, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Collaborate with team members, including educators and therapists, to ensure cohesive care for clients.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Skills
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Experience in patient care, particularly with children diagnosed with autism or other developmental disorders.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to behavioral health.
- Ability to educate clients and families about behavioral therapy practices effectively.
- Proficient in assisting clients with daily activities while promoting independence.
- Experience working with children in special education settings is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective interactions with clients, families, and team members.
