As an Associate Attorney, you will report to the Chief Legal Officer and oversee matters relating to real estate.
What You'll Do
- Partner with business leaders to provide responsive and practical advice and guidance on real estate matters, including landlord/ tenant disputes.
- Draft and negotiate real estate contracts, with an emphasis on commercial leasing.
- Collaborate with Real Estate Team to ensure companywide compliance with state and federal laws.
- Stay current on relevant state and federal real estate laws in multi-state operations.
- Act as the first point of contact for field inquiries from the Real Estate Team across the company.
Education/Experience and Other Requirements
- License to practice in Florida or approved as Authorized House Counsel in Florida.
- Juris Doctor from an institution accredited with the American Bar Association.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience as a practicing lawyer, with an emphasis on real estate.
- Spanish fluency preferred.
- Must maintain clean background/drug screenings/driving record.
