Responsibilities :
- Independently function in a senior-level contract specialist capacity
- Carry out pre-determined and recurring cradle-to-grave contract planning, negotiation, administration duties. Functions may include :
- Acquisition planning
- Proposal solicitation preparation
- Market research / analysis
- Selection and administration of terms and conditions
- Evaluating quotations / proposals.
- Performing price negotiation
- Sources selection and decision documentation
- Notifying, and debriefing unsuccessful offerors
- Answering protests to the agency or GAO
- Preparation and execution of bilateral and administrative contract modifications
- Exercising options and contract extensions
- Evaluation of performance
- Working in concert with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for performance related issues
- Contract termination
- Contract closeout
- Simultaneously manage, coordinate and pursue multiple, complex acquisition-related projects and actives.
- Ensure compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
Experience / Qualifications :
Highly desirable for the individual to have one of the following certifications :
