Experience Required:
- A minimum of four years of experience providing USCG entities with HM&E Maintenance Procedure Card Development for various CG assets, including but not limited to 282’ WMEC, 399’ WAGB, 418’ WMSL, 420’ WAGB, and 460’ PS cutters.
- Proficiency in developing high-quality Maintenance Procedure Cards (MPCs) through the Coast Guard web-based program Surface MPC Development Program (SMDP).
- Technical experience in the operation, repair, and support of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) equipment.
- Technical experience in the use of Coast Guard Standard Workstation III.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and update Maintenance Procedure Cards (MPCs) for Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems, ensuring comprehensibility for recent graduates of rated technical schools in accordance with CGTO PG-85-00-230-G.
- Provide organizational (ship’s force) and depot-level (shore side) support for Maintenance Procedure Card Development.
- Validate MPCs prior to release, ensuring all components and personnel requirements are accurately listed and aligned with Coast Guard standards.
- Utilize applicable technical references and standard repair specifications located within the Coast Guard Logistics Information Management System (CG-LIMS).
- Submit completed documentation and maintain communication with the Team Lead and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) as required.
- Ensure compliance with task completion milestones and participate in Coast Guard meetings as directed.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Good writing skills, utilizing applicable documentation resources.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft® PowerPoint®, Word®, Paint®, Excel®, Project®, Office 365 Suite, Microsoft Teams, and Skype.
- Knowledge of the Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) supply support procedures.
- Ability to complete Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis; certification by the Coast Guard or NAVSEA as RCM analysts is required or must be attained within six months.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team leads and other stakeholders.
This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy in the development of maintenance documentation essential for the operational readiness of Coast Guard assets.
