Position Overview
Abacus Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) with a strong background in designing building electrical systems. As an Electrical PE, you will play a key role in designing and implementing electrical solutions for a variety of projects, contributing to the growth and success of our firm. This position is Full-Time and is not a remote job, requiring your presence on-site for effective collaboration and project management.
Responsibilities
- Lead Design and Development : Lead the design and development of electrical systems for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
- Conduct electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short circuit analysis to ensure system reliability and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Preparation : Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD or Revit.
- Collaboration : Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into building designs.
- Site Assessments : Perform site visits and inspections to assess existing electrical infrastructure, identify issues, and propose solutions.
- Technical Guidance : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Industry Trends : Stay current with industry trends, codes, and best practices in electrical engineering.
