Our client is a private equity firm. They seek an Assistant Controller to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Handle accounting operations, financial reporting, and investor deliverables
- Prepare performance reporting, tax reporting, and regulatory oversight
- Oversee third-party administrator, design review workflows and analytics
- Train Fund Accountants on preparing journal entries and financial statements
- Work with the investment team and broader finance team on deal acquisitions
- Produce and review capital call/distribution excel files and investor notices
- Responsible for external audit and tax compliance work of assigned Funds
- Complete liquidity management and maintenance, including basic treasury functions
- Review LPA agreements and ensure proper partnership mechanics are accounted for
Requirements
- 6 years of accounting experience
- Private equity fund accounting background
- Experience with complex funds/waterfall calculations
- Combo accounting experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
- CPA required
- Skilled in Investran and Excel
