Our client is a real estate investment firm. They seek a Controller to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable process
- Review and analyze the general ledger and financial statements
- Assess balance sheet and income statement variance analysis
- Complete construction loan draws and track progress for reporting
- Perform month-end close procedures for property management company
- Prepare financial reports for internal use and partner reporting
- Analyze property cash flows and complete bank reconciliations
- Assist in budget preparation as well as various business process
- Carry out other special projects as needed by senior management
Requirements
- 4 years of accounting experience
- Real estate investment background
- Family office experience preferred
- Private or combo accounting background
- Experience with lender/bank
- Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Skilled in MRI and Yardi
