Our client is a non-profit organization. They seek a Senior Vice President of Development to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with the organization’s mission
- Serve as a key advisor to the C-Suite on matters related to development and fundraising
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit major donors, ensuring a robust pipeline of HNW individuals
- Brainstorm and implement strategies for increasing individual giving, including major gifts
- Manage the execution of corporate, foundation, and government fundraising efforts
- Oversee the planning and execution of major fundraising events and other special events
- Design a comprehensive planned giving program, including marketing, donor education, etc.
- Ensure that all donors are acknowledged, recognized, and engaged in the organization
- Work with the communications team to develop marketing and communication strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, etc.
- 10 years of development and progressive fundraising experience
- Non-profit industry background required
- Experience in major gifts, capital campaigns, and donor relations
- Knowledge and successful outcomes in fundraising and development strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, analytical, with a keen attention to detail
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce
