Our client is a media company. They seek a Union Payroll Manager to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate activities of the Union Payroll Team supporting the broadcast station
- Work with stakeholder queries via cross-functional and cross-divisional collaboration
- Manage the delivery of excellent customer service; anticipate issues, and develop solutions
- Develop and review metrics to benchmark performance and improve service delivery
- Lead the Union Payroll team and guide and assist other departments in corrective actions
- Implement workable and scalable solutions to business issues and problems
- Establish and adhere to payroll schedules to ensure the data required for payroll is received
- Ensure the Union Payroll Team is knowledgeable in union pay and paid time off rules
- Train the Union Payroll Team on how to use the time and attendance and payroll systems
- Prepare and implement forward-looking payroll processes and revise current processes
Requirements
- 5 years of payroll experience
- Experience a processing large volume of payroll
- Media/entertainment industry background
- Knowledge of IBEW, IATSE, AFTRA, and/or NABET
- Experience with FLSA, federal, state, and local wage laws
- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills (V Lookups and Pivots)
