Bilingual Educational Tutor

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, with experience in adult education, early childhood education, and curriculum development. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, utilizing learning technology, and fostering a supportive environment for students of all ages. The Educator will play a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience and ensuring that students achieve their learning goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and or small-group tutoring to students
• Support students' academic growth and achievement
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and educational staff
• Maintain accurate records of student progress
• Participate in required professional development activities
• Utilize both English and second language skills to support student learning
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students' varying needs and interests
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth.
• Stay updated on best practices in education and incorporate innovative techniques into teaching.

Qualifications (preferred* and required**)

• Proven experience in adult education or working with students of various age groups.*
• Strong background in early childhood education is preferred.*
• Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development processes.*
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with students and stakeholders.*
• Proficiency in utilizing learning technology to facilitate instruction.*
• Experience in childcare settings is a plus.*
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independence when necessary.*
• Fluency in English and a second language (speaking, reading, and writing)*
• Strong understanding of educational principles and teaching methodologies**
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills**
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations**
• Must comply with all district, state, and federal educational requirements**
• Must pass required background checks and meet all safety requirements**

Education and Experience:

• Educational background in teaching, tutoring, or related field
• Previous experience working with K-12 students preferred
• Demonstrated success in supporting student achievement
